Advanced Explosive Ordnance Disposal Instructor

Responsibilities:

Provide advanced EOD course of instruction specifically designed to train EOD operators assigned to support Naval Special Operations Forces (NAVSOF). Focus on curriculum, operational training and practical exercises to better prepare EOD personnel to adapt tactics and techniques in support of NAVSOF.

Required Qualifications/Education:

  • Graduate of the U.S Naval School of Explosive Ordnance Disposal and hold the Master EOD Technician (NEC 5337) designation or service equivalent.
  • Master Training Specialist (MTS) designation or equivalent
  • One deployment to Afghanistan ISO Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and/or to Iraq ISO Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).
  • Three years of experience supporting a Naval Special Warfare (NSW) team (may be concurrent with JSOC experience)
  • Five years experience supporting the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC)
  • Demonstrated expertise in Special Operations Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP)
  • Demonstrated expertise in Specialized EOD tools/equipment, and in-extremis EOD procedural protocol
  • Demonstrated expertise in Category “A” EOD situations and Advanced Access and Disablement techniques
  • Demonstrated expertise in CBRN Operations, IED electronics, HME, Combat Exploitation, Hostage rescue/recovery tactics and procedures
